Help for Haiti

Haiti Relief

Reesor Farm Kitchen has been involved in a Blanket and Sheet Drive for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).  We collected  a mini-van load of new sheets and blankets to send to earthquake stricken Haiti.  "Stouffville was very generous" says retail manager Carinda Barber of Reesor Farm Kitchen.  "Some people brought in several items to send to Haiti".   In addition to blankets and sheets Reesor Farm Kitchen received several Relief Kits (see mcc.org) for distribution in Haiti.

The Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)  has also been involved in getting water filters into the country. Pictured,  MCC Haiti staff member Joseph Sangelus and Regional Disaster Management Coordinator Virgil Troyer load water filters onto a truck for distribution. MCC is disrtibuting 1000 water filters each of which can purify 300 gallons of water or 1137 L per day (MCC photo by Ben Depp)
